Welcome!
This is very much a work in progress, please bear with me.
I have a main website where I try to keep up with reviews and general musings, but it is at a domain named for an older online alt of myself. If you'd like to drop by, it's Mommahu.com. Every day I try to do what I can to maintain a little peace and joy in the face of all the - frankly - evil out there in the world, particularly here in the States in 2025. So I play games, and read books, and try to make quiet positive spaces for others. One of those is real, others are virtual.
I want to stream more and talk about All The Things, but there's always so much going on. For right now, I try to do quiet positive coworking streams on Twitch, twice a week. You can find me bouncing back and forth between the silly and joyful to super serious on Bluesky.
My name comes from my Final Fantasy XIV character, who lives on Ultros. I am a casual raider, but to be honest, I've not been trying very hard this expansion. Life is hard, and the game is just not scratching the itch, which is a shame. Sometimes the writing can be so uneven in FFXIV. But there are plenty of folks on YouTube that can tell you that. I'll drop back into it soon, I'm sure, especially with the new patch. For right now, I'm playing comfort games. Right now those are Sulfur, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and No Man's Sky. Once in a while I'll pull up Generation Zero, which I do love. Need to finish that storyline. Actually, I need to finish a lot of storylines.
Speaking of, What are you reading right now? Earlier this month I read North Country Ribbon, which is a rich collection of short stories set in the gorgeously imagined Nakharat. Queer love and contracts made real by the ribbons one wears and living ships and trains and books....A good place to get lost, have a cup of tea, listen to the stories you are offered.
